George works for the Coastal Processes Group as a GIS Programmer, striving to streamline and automate the collection, processing, and analysis of LiDAR data. Before taking on this role, he briefly worked in the environmental science industry as a GIS and Field Technician. George received his MS in Earth Sciences from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where he studied the performance of a new Deep Argo autonomous float array deployed in the Southern Ocean.
